Bible Journaling...1 Thessalonians 2:8

Here is the latest page you guys! This page is inspired by a page from one of the contributors of Illustrated Faith. It made me think, "How do I share my heart daily with the world around me?" So, IF you do this page, meditate a little on that while you're doing it.

For this project, I used the Crayola Watercolor Pencils as my medium for color. Start out by prepping your page. Then, outline a heart with just a regular pencil LIGHTLY. Next, use the blue watercolor pencil, dip it in water, and trace the upper half outline of the heart, leaving some space for you to blend the outlines of the green and blue. After that, dip the green watercolor pencil in water and, again leaving room to blend, and trace the lower portion of the outline. Ultimately, you want about a half-inch of space between the two colors. This leads us to choose which greens and blue you want to blend. I picked, starting from top to bottom, blue, teal, blue-green, light green, and green. Color the heart first with the blues in the upper portion, blending with water and a paintbrush, and then coloring the green and blending. Get it to just the way you like it, using a paper towel                                                                                    to remove excess paint/water.

Now we get to draw! Start with the 03 Pigma Micron black pen (that's a medium thickness) and made the "strings" that wrap the heart. You don't have to be pretty, just lightly made some curved lines, leaving some space for them to "go under the heart"(see picture). Draw a bow where the lines intersect, then go back with a 08 Pigma Micron black pen (this is the thickest) and draw one to two lines for strings to vary thickness, Also, draw the bow. For the bottom of the page, write "share" in cursive in pencil, then use a 05 Pigma Micron pen to trace it. Write "YOUR" and draw a heart in pencil as well, tracing the "YOUR" with a 03 Pigma Micron pen and coloring the heart with a teal watercolor pencil dipped in water. Lightly paint the "YOUR" light green and color in the bubbles in "share" with blue. Dry everything with your heat gun.

Now for the finishing touches! I used the silver stickles to make dots over and under "YOUR." Also, I had some black patterned washi tape that I used to fill up some space.

There you have it! This page took a little more time than some of my other ones because of the blending, but it turned out very well...at least from my perspective. : ) If you have any questions or comments about the page feel free to comment below!
